Wish you were stronger.
In this episode of the Construction MPa Podcast we look at our business from the construction perspective of the legendary Jim Rohn’s quote of ‘Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better.’
discuss the importance of the split personality advantage for small Business Owners in the Construction Industry.
Disclaimer: This Podcast is for Construction Industry Business Owners who want to hear the truth no matter how much it might sting. If you’re looking for nicey, nicey leadership advice? Go watch a TED talk!
Pro’s vs. Joe’s .
The difference between a professional athlete and a regular Joe isn’t just the difference between their physical gifts and abilities.
Natural gifts and abilities are the starting point, but they aren’t enough on their own at the elite level. Mental strength and mental discipline separate the men from the boys at the pro level.
They put time and effort into studying and learning the game’s nuances. They keep their physical game tight, but they go back to the drawing board and study the game from their new professional perspective.
Building a business is like building a body. It requires reps, effort, time, consistency, and structure.
If you want a body like ‘The Rock,’ you can’t train like ‘The Pebble.’ A bodybuilder doesn’t wish it was lighter. He wishes he was stronger. A basketball player doesn’t wish the net was lower. He wishes he could jump higher!
You need to flex your mental strength and spend more time studying the game of business. Because your company will only grow to the size that you do, and your Personal MPa will be your companies foundation.
How we accomplish the above is what we’re going to talk about in this week’s episode of the Construction MPa Podcast entitled: Wish you were stronger.
Program vs. Podcast?
The Construction MPa Program is an entirely different beast than the Construction MPa Podcast. However, it was ultimately built with the same end goal in mind, too:
A) Help small business owners strengthen their businesses themselves via a step-by-step process.
B) To provide a home for small business owners to openly discuss the challenges they face in a sales and bullshit-free environment.
